Lupus can make everyday life difficult for otherwise healthy adults, but imagine the challenges that kids face when they get diagnosed with this disease. Support from family, friends, and doctors can make it a little easier, but kids also need to be kids!
We’re going into our third year of hosting kids impacted by lupus at Camp For All in Burton, TX, for an entire weekend of socializing with their peers & enjoying fun activities. “Impacted by” can mean that they themselves are the patient, or that they’re related to someone with lupus, because they’re affected, too!
Dr. Monica Bray, a board-certified pediatric rheumatologist and assistant professor at UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School, and Dr. Meredith Rae, a pediatric rheumatology fellow at Baylor College of Medicine, are our camp medical directors. They’ll be on-site along with other counselors, cabin leaders, medical volunteers, and other supervisory staff to ensure that your kids are safe while they have fun!
